Greater Bay Area Series 2021 for Hong Kong Employers — Transform Your Organisation and Workforce for a Successful GBA Story

About the Series
The Greater Bay Area (GBA) initiative is an important vehicle for growth among Hong Kong businesses. It offers exciting synergies by integrating the competitive advantages of nine mainland cities, Hong Kong and Macau into a world-class business hub. However, local businesses also need to acknowledge the accompanying uncertainties in regulations, market conditions and talent landscape. Having the ambition to embark on a GBA journey is necessary but surely not sufficient. The ‘people agenda’ including organisation transformation and strategic workforce planning have become paramount to the success of each company’s GBA ambition. Against this backdrop, the GBA series co-hosted by EFHK and EY teams will facilitate discussions and exchange among senior executives and HR practitioners on approaches to design a fit-for-purpose organisation, culture and talent strategy to realise opportunities in the GBA. The series will take place over the course of 3 events in September, October and November 2021, where EY representatives and a distinguished panel of speakers will explore the following topics:

● Series 1: Why GBA? Formulate your compelling vision to embark on the GBA journey

● Series 2: Transform your organisation, workforce and culture to drive your GBA strategy

● Series 3: Design your HR schemes and practices to enable the desired employee experience under your GBA strategy

Join us to hear our end-to-end considerations for employers to thrive within the GBA, to refine your GBA vision, and push for more agile and meaningful transformation for your organisation and workforce.

Series 1
Series 1 will provide an introduction to the Greater Bay Area initiative – the opportunity it offers and inherent challenges. We will also bring together professionals and guest speakers to reveal insights on their organisation's GBA journey, people considerations, lessons learnt and debunk some of the myths related to this business opportunity.
