With the recovering economy, business activity had gradually picked up amid relaxed social distancing measures.

KPMG recently launched its sixth annual Hong Kong Executive Salary Outlook, which surveyed about 800 business executives to measure the latest employment market and talent management trends in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area (GBA). Key industry sectors including consumer markets, financial services, innovation and technology, professional services, public sector and real estate were covered.

More than a third of the respondents (35%) spanning across all industries expect to increase hiring in their Hong Kong operations this year. With a positive outlook on salary and bonus, it is expected the employment market to be competitive and fluid in 2022. Employers should understand the recruitment and rewards trends in order to attract and retain talents.
